We make a lot of different Mjolnirs! Learn more about the differences on our FAQ Page.

Updated for 2023! We have gone back to the drawing board with the Wildwood Mjolnir to get it even closer to Zach’s personal Klon Centaur. When the Wildwood Mjolnir was released it was our attempt to make the best “Klone” possible and after getting a real unit we learned so much sonically that we revised the design to closer emulate the tones that were in that fabled silver box. Flash forward to the 2023, we re-evaluated the sonic differences between our Mjolnir and the original unit and decided we could get them even closer sonically and improve production woes.

The Wildwood Edition Mjolnir Overdrive is our attempt to perfectly replicate Zach’s personal silver “Centaur”. It has a beautiful low gain overdrive tone that compresses perfectly and makes your guitar signal just sound bigger. We tried our hardest to match the output, voicing, and feel of the pedals it’s an homage to. The latest 2023 iteration has a slight reduction in low mids, a tuned Treble knob, and Gain & Output taper so that it matches the original units feel. The internal circuit retains the +18V charge pump, NOS Germanium Diodes, and buffered output.

We find in blind comparisons that it’s almost impossible to tell the latest version apart from the original unit. The character and mojo are there in spades and we are hoping this continues to find a place on countless players boards all over the world.

So you may be asking yourself, What’s the difference between this and the standard production gold Mjolnir?” The standard Mjolnir is sonically tweaked to be a little more “everyman” friendly sonically. It’s got a less mids, less overall gain, and a slightly smoother/darker tone. The normal Mjolnir model has a lot of changes from your average “klone” but the Wildwood Mjolnir is the best sonic representation we can do of the actual circuit we have in our possession.

WARNING! The Wildwood Mjolnir has a charge pump and that demands you use +9v DC power ONLY! If you exceed +9V you can fry the protection diode, or worse fry the entire pedal. DO NOT EXCEED +9V or your warranty will be voided and your pedal will need repair. If you are nervous about this you can use a +9V Battery in the Wildwood Mjolnir, if you unplug the input jack when not in use the battery should last a very long amount of time.
